Launching a Rebrand Without Product: How We Created 70+ Images Before Product Even Arrived

When brands think about launching a rebrand, one thing usually slows everything down:
Content production.
New packaging, new identity, new positioning, but no imagery ready to match it.
And more often than not, timelines are dictated by one thing:
Waiting for product to arrive before a shoot can even begin.
This was exactly the challenge when we partnered with Miniml.

The Challenge
Miniml were preparing to launch a full rebrand and release several new products.
They needed:
A complete set of updated visuals
Consistency across channels
Everything ready to go at launch
But there was a problem.
The physical products weren’t actually ready yet.
In a traditional workflow, that would mean:
Delayed shoots
Staggered rollout of content
Or launching without a full visual system in place
None of which are ideal for a rebrand.
Rethinking the Process
Instead of waiting for product, we worked from:
Label artwork
Packaging designs
Realistic product renders
From there, we created a full set of photorealistic images, designed to feel like they had been captured in a real-world shoot.
Not placeholders. Not mockups.
Final, usable assets.
The Output
Within one week, we delivered:
70+ images
A mix of studio, lifestyle, and campaign-style visuals
A consistent visual direction across the full set
This meant Miniml could launch their rebrand with:
A complete image library
No gaps across channels
No need to “fill in later” with additional shoots
Everything was ready from day one.
The Cost Comparison
Beyond speed, there was a clear commercial benefit.
The client shared that their previous production came in at:
~£130 per image
Studio-based outputs only
Our work:
£75 per image
Photorealistic lifestyle and campaign-ready imagery
Across 70 images, that’s a ~43% reduction in cost — while increasing the range and flexibility of the output.
Where the Content Was Used
The assets weren’t created for a single use case.
They’ve since been used across:
Website
Paid media
Social content
Print
Providing a complete and consistent visual system for the brand.
What This Actually Changes
This project highlights a bigger shift in how content can be created.
1. You Don’t Have to Wait for Product
Content can be created in parallel with production — not after it.
2. You’re Not Limited to One Shoot
Instead of one set of outputs, you can explore multiple directions from the same starting point.
3. You Can Move Faster Without Compromising Quality
Speed doesn’t have to come at the expense of craft.
The Bigger Picture
For most brands, the bottleneck isn’t ideas or strategy.
It’s production.
Shoots take time
Costs add up quickly
Output is often limited
What this approach unlocks is something different:
👉 A more flexible, scalable way to create content
One where you can:
Launch faster
Explore more creative directions
Build a consistent visual identity from the start
Final Thought
Rebrands are moments where everything needs to come together at once.
Product, identity, messaging, and visuals all need to align.
What we did with Miniml shows that content doesn’t have to be the thing that slows that down.
In fact, it can be the thing that enables it.
